For over a decade in a context marked by the rapid degradation of the dry forests of Ankarafantsika, Planet Madagascar has been implementing an integrated conservation model, simultaneously addressing the challenges of biodiversity conservation and the essential needs of local communities. In this landscape where forest fires, habitat fragmentation, and socio-economic pressures threaten the conservation of lemurs and their coexistence with humans, the organization works alongside local communities through a One Health approach to build sustainable solutions based on community participation and the application of scientific knowledge.
