This year has been one of uncertainty. Aid cuts and political upheavals rippled across the conservation sector, disrupting work and placing immense pressure on community-led organizations.

And yet, something remarkable happened too. Across our partner network, we witnessed extraordinary strength and leadership. Local organizations continued to protect their landscapes, negotiate better funding, shape national and global conversations, and unite their communities around ambitious visions for the future. They reminded us that real change begins with strong roots – organizations grounded in purpose, connected in trusted networks, and courageous in their leadership.
