
Lekesike brings over a decade of experience advancing economic inclusion, food security, and climate resilience across East and the Horn of Africa. Prior to joining Maliasili, he held senior leadership roles with Village Enterprise, Caritas, World Vision, and CAFOD, where he collaborated closely with governments, NGOs, and local communities to design and deliver high-impact, inclusive development programs.
He holds a Master’s degree in Global Business and Sustainability and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from EARTH University in Costa Rica. Isaiah is also the founder of Arable and Pastoral Lands Initiative (APLI), in Northern Kenya, where he champions regenerative agriculture, climate justice, and sustainable livelihoods for pastoral and agropastoral communities. In his spare time, Isaiah enjoys traveling, and engaging in community-led environmental initiatives, often drawing inspiration from diverse cultures and landscapes.
