Rural Environment and Development Organization (REDO) was founded in 1999 to address environmental degradation while empowering rural communities, especially the historically marginalized. Founded at a time of growing pressure on Rwanda’s protected areas and natural resources, REDO emerged as a bridge between conservation and community development.
