Wildlife Conservation Action (WCA) works to protect Zimbabwe’s wildlife through innovative approaches that engage young people in conservation. Their work focuses on building the next generation of conservation leaders while implementing practical solutions to human-wildlife conflict.
The organization implements various programs including: youth conservation leadership; human-wildlife conflict mitigation; community education; and sustainable enterprise development. They work to build local capacity for conservation while developing practical solutions to conservation challenges.
Through their efforts, WCA has trained hundreds of young conservation leaders, reduced human-wildlife conflict in numerous communities, and developed successful models for community-based conservation. Their work has demonstrated effective approaches to engaging youth in conservation while addressing immediate conservation challenges.
