Tsimoka's agroforestry conservation approach has helped communities where they work reduce forest loss by 90% while also increasing people's income. Their work has helped regenerate 1,648 hectares and led to a resurgence in wildlife, with lemur populations more than doubling in just one year.

Tsimoka pioneers innovative agroforestry and ecological restoration approaches in Madagascar that benefit both biodiversity and local communities. Their work focuses on developing sustainable agricultural systems that support both conservation and improved livelihoods.

The organization implements integrated programs including: dynamic agroforestry development; forest restoration; sustainable agriculture training; and community enterprise development. They work closely with local communities to develop farming systems that enhance both environmental and economic outcomes.

Through their efforts, Tsimoka has successfully established numerous agroforestry systems, restored degraded forest areas, and helped hundreds of farmers develop more sustainable and productive agricultural practices. Their work has demonstrated how innovative farming approaches can support both biodiversity conservation and improved rural livelihoods.

Maliasili exists to help talented local conservation organizations overcome their challenges and constraints so that they can become more effective agents of change in their landscapes, communities, and nations.
