ReGeCom works to strengthen community-based natural resource management across Mozambique through innovative approaches that ensure local communities benefit from conservation. Their work focuses on building effective local institutions for natural resource management while supporting sustainable development.

The organization implements various programs including: community conservation area support; sustainable enterprise development; capacity building for local institutions; and policy advocacy. They work to strengthen community rights over natural resources while building local capacity for effective resource management.

Through their efforts, ReGeCom has helped establish and strengthen numerous community conservation areas, developed successful conservation enterprises, and contributed to improved natural resource governance. Their work has demonstrated effective approaches to community-based conservation in challenging contexts.
